Rock Springs Engagement Session / Apopka FL / Katie & Andrew

Rock Springs in Apopka FL is such a gem! It’s a natural spring just outside of Orlando and the large flat rock at the head of the spring is a well known spot for photoshoots and engagement sessions!! The park itself is gorgeous and the crystal clear water, lush trees and great trails made for a perfect backdrop that made Katie and Andrew absolutely shine!! Such a great time shooting this Rock Springs Engagement Session.

We had originally planned for a Saturday evening shoot in the spring to take advantage of golden hour. However, when we arrived for the shoot the park was full to capacity and closed for the day which was such a bummer. Since it was only getting closer to summer and it would only get busier, we decided to re try our shoot on a Tuesday morning to be sure we got inside the park before it filled up! The night before our shoot we considered rescheduling AGAIN because there was a storm, but we ended up going with the early morning plan and it ended up being such a perfect day!! Since it was supposed to rain there weren’t any crowds or swimmers and we ended up having the spring almost completely to ourselves. It was such a dream and we were able to utilize the large swimming area that’s typically full of people and really take our time. Towards the end of the shoot the morning sun even came out and provided such a gorgeous element to the photos that just highlighted Katie and Andrew so well!

At the end of the shoot, they got in the freezing water and just had so much fun with each other! Katie and Andrew are such a sweet couple and it was a blast to photograph them and celebrate their engagement. They were playful and romantic and made me laugh the entire time. My job was so incredibly easy!
